More sailing pics

Since we have really bad weather for September I'm forced to once again post an old picture. Hopefully we will be sailing this coming weekend. Keep your fingers crossed there will be wind but no downpour.

Då vädret är dåligt för att vara september så får jag än en gång posta en gammal bild.
Vi seglar förhoppningsvis den kommande helgen. Håll tummarna att vädret är med oss med vind men inga skyfall.

Nice work! Thanks for posting great photos and video. Can you give some idea about how your work on the Norlin MkIII compares with other shops/competitors doing modifications?

Thanks for the nice words. We have talked to and gathered information from several people that have been working in optimizing the Norlin Mark III for several years. I think you can say we have merely merged their input and made our project reflect their combined knowledge. Were are you from? Nice to know how spread our blog is.
Good Sailing!

Hi Lars

I'm in Canada. Starting to look for a 2.4 and wondering about the different possibilities. I'm particularly interested in a 2.4 that meets the paralympic criteria. Are any of the sailors in your club disabled?

I linked to your blog from Hasse Malmsten's page outlining the project. Look forward to more pictures and news. Perhaps some speed testing?

Good Sailing

Hi Scott,
Cool you found us on the web!
We just started to build our fleet here in Nykoping Sweden. I sailed a mini12 (as they where called back in the 80's) in 1983, being only 15 years old.
In the fall of 2005 a group of us drove down to Malmö to watch the America's Cup boats race. Saturday night we had a couple of beers and someone said, -We need to start sailing 2.4mR's. I remembered how much fun it was back in the early 80's.One month later my brother and I took the ferry to Finland and I bought a boat in early October 2005. Mathias bought his boat in February of 2006. Together with Conny and Lennart who had built their own boats we started our fleet summer of 2006. We have since then grown to 5 sailors. I hope for next year we will be at least one more.
Both last and this year a lot of time has been spent on getting everyones boats ready and we have not yet been participating in too many races. Only blogmasters one appearance last fall to be exact... We hope to develop this site and try to stimulate anyone out there who wants to get into these very cool boats. Stay in touch!

Hej Magnus,

Mvh,

Lars
